IXFile is a software component that facilitates file input/output. IXFile is designed as data-oriented component; each file access method is available in several versions for commonly used data types. Even access to complex structured data can be acomplished with a single call. Operating system, by contrast, supports generic file data access; you must know exact size and internal representation of data for correct processing.
IXFile is available as a COM component and C++ library to be used with Visual Studio 6.0 (or higher) programming tools, Active Server Pages and scripting languages. Unicode support allows easy integration with applications designed for international markets. Threading support enables development of multithreaded applications. IXFile can operate on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP platforms.
